Presente Simple para Futuro
Uses
- Usamos el Presente Simple para indicar que un evento está programado.
- Algo está “programado” cuando está en un horario, escrito en la agenda de alguien…
- Algunos ejemples serían:
- Transporte: “The train leaves at 10pm” (El tren sale a las 22:00)
- Entretenimiento: “The film starts at 7pm” (La pelicula empieza a las 19:00)
- Planes programados: “I leave for Panama next week” (Salgo hacia Panamá la semana que viene)
- Cosas que pasarán en un determinado momento del futuro porque es cuando siempre pasan: “I start work at 8 tomorrow” (Empiezo a trabajar a las 08:00 mañana)
Affirmative Structure
La estructura general es exactamente igual que el Presente Simple, pero añadimos un adverbio de tiempo al final: SUJETO + VERBO INFINITIVO + OBJETO + ADVERBIO DE TIEMPO FUTURO
Third person: Añadimos S al final del verbo, al no ser que termine con un sonido Z, S, CH, SH o DGE, en cual caso añadimos ES y se pronuncia con una sílaba adicional.
Ej.: She starts at 10 tomorrow (Ella empieza a las 10 mañana) and It comes at 9 (Llega a las 9), pero It finishes at 11 next week (Acaba a las 11 la semana que viene) y The Moon passes in front of the Sun at 12:45 (La luna pasa delante del sol a las 12:45).
Negative Structure
Al igual que con el Presente Simple, agregamos don’t (o doesn’t en tercera persona) antes del verbo principal.
Ej.: He doesn’t leave tomorrow morning. (El no sale mañana por la mañana) | I don’t have work tomorrow. (No tengo trabajo mañana)
Question Structure
Al igual que con el Presente Simple, si no hay un verbo auxiliar, añadimos do or doesn’t. Invertimos el sujeto y el verbo auxiliar).
Ej.: He is leaving next month > Is he leaving next month? | You start in 10 minutes > Do you start in 10 minutes?
