We still have seats!

You’re lucky… It is the first year in these facilities (before we did it in Candeleda) and we still have places. Take the opportunity!

Nature, fresh air, forest, swimming pool, mountains, horses, sports, games and new friends… We can’t think of a better way to spend a week!

Our camp in La Adrada (Ávila) offers a complete program of varied activities that are carried out entirely in English with native or bilingual teachers, as well as multi-adventure activities and a horse riding course. There is 1 native/bilingual teacher for every 10 participants.

Clan Camp Ávila is a small camp with an inclusive, calm and safe environment.

We have the facilities and the collaboration of La Espuela, a magical place specialized in rural tourism.

For multi-adventure activities, we also have the collaboration of qualified professionals who will communicate with the children in Spanish. Safety always comes first!

IMPORTANT! We will follow a logical protocol that complies with all COVID-19 prevention regulations. In addition, it should be noted that, once a week has begun, there will be very few people entering from outside La Espuela, which means that the probability of contagion is very low.

Activity and Rest in Balance

At our camps, we spend most of the day doing a wide variety of activities. We make the most of the time for games, projects, challenges, crafts, sports… and EVERYTHING in English!

However, this is not to say that there aren’t quieter moments. Between the pool, the forest and the starry nights, you will feel totally disconnected from everyday life.

Nature and tranquility

In La Espuela, the only noise, apart from the birds, is the one we make 😉

The farm is very extensive, and for the exclusive use of Humanit.as. It is surrounded by fields and forests. Most likely, no outsiders will be seen in the entire stay.

clans

The organization of our camps by “clans” (like the “houses” in Harry Potter!) is one of the keys to their success. We form groups of different ages, working cooperatively.

When we can, we also organize activities for ages in parallel.

A natural paradise, next to you

La Espuela is located approximately:

  • 45 minutes from Talavera de la Reina
  • 1 hour and 15 minutes from Madrid
  • 1 hour and 20 minutes from Ávila
  • 2 hours from Plasencia
  • 2 hours and 15 minutes from Salamanca
  • 2 hours and 20 minutes from Cáceres

Guaranteed and safe fun

We always put safety first, but this year it’s not just about potential crashes, we also need to be wary of something much harder to see coming.

In 2020, we are proud not to have had any cases of COVID19 in our urban camp in Madrid. It was thanks to the common sense and responsible attitude of the teachers and families outside the camp. We will follow the same guidelines, and any indication that the current regulations mark, with the aim of achieving the same result; fun, but safe.

Personal development

Apart from helping them learn English in a natural way, we consider that, as educators, it is our duty to contribute to the personal development of each young person.

We encourage empathy, cooperation, problem solving of all kinds. We want our students to go home tired from so much activity, but calm inside, proud of everything they have achieved.

We create contexts that give opportunities to reflect, grow, experiment and learn at every step.

Challenges and overcoming

Clan Camp will not always be easy. Apart from being completely in English, we also challenge you to solve all kinds of problems, to overcome your limits. You won’t always get it right the first time, but you will!

When designing our activities, we always keep in mind the concept of “transferable skills”; skills that are useful for a lifetime, in addition to “multiple intelligences” and other aspects such as “learning to lose shame”.

The most important thing is to come with an open attitude. From that moment on, we will take care of making it an unforgettable experience.

OUR 100% ENGLISH CAMP - CUSTOM DESIGNED FOR SUMMER 2021

Clan Camp Ávila is the evolution of our language immersion camp for children and families that we previously held in Candeleda, Sierra de Gredos.

It is a wonderful concept that we are very proud of. Its main objective is learning English, but the way we do it makes the experience especially pleasant for everyone.

Clan Camp Ávila is open to children between the ages of 6 and 17.

Accommodation is in brick and wooden cabins, each with its own full bathroom. Each cabin accommodates a maximum of 8 people (it is important to read the section on COVID measures).

Each participant, of any age, will be part of a Clan and will gain or lose points for their Clan even in activities by age.

The goal is not to win. The goal is to learn to cooperate and collaborate. You earn far more points for being friendly, creative, and enthusiastic than for being the fastest runner… though you earn points that way too!

PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES AND DIDACTIC BASES

Here are some examples of Clan Camp Ávila activities:

  • Horseback riding (4 sessions of approximately 45 minutes)
  • wall climbing
  • box tower
  • archery
  • geocaching
  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Tennis
  • Badminton
  • Day and night hiking
  • treasure hunting
  • escape room

Clan Camp Ávila programming:

The first thing to know is that we go to great lengths to ensure that no two days are the same. We do not publish details of specific activities apart from multi-adventure and horse riding because we want it to always be a surprise.

What you can know is that every day there will be at least one activity of the following types:

  • Sport
  • Multi-adventure (hiking, climbing, archery, geocaching…)
  • Team challenge (problem solving, cooperation…)
  • Scientific experiments
  • Swimming pool
  • Crafts/Art/Music
  • Ecology/Conservation/Nature
  • Night activities

Follow an example of the schedule. There will be days that are a little different, for example when we go hiking at night…

  • 08:30-09:30 – Wake up and have breakfast
  • 09:30-10:00 – Morning brief (important things you need to know about the day)
  • 10:00–13:00 – Mainly more physical activities before it gets too hot and/or multi-adventure.
  • 13:00-14:30 – Lunch + quiet activities (board games, diaries, crafts and drawings, puzzles, etc.) to get the food down.
  • 14:30-16:00 – Experiments and projects
  • 16:00-18:00 – Pool (partly with guided games and with time to think about team projects – and a little break!)
  • 18:00–20:00 – Turning Horses + Crafts/Art/Other projects
  • 20:00-21:15 – Showers and dinner
  • 21:15-22:30 – Evening activities
  • 23:00/23:30 – Go to sleep!

As you can see, our mission is that there is a lot of variety and almost constant movement. The only complaint we’ve always had has been that they don’t have much time for “free play”… but, still, we only remember that they said something about being bored during pool time. After this last year, both physical and mental exercise will come in especially handy for you.

Of course, there are also moments to relax. For example, the time we spend every day in the pool.

The activities have as their central axis cooperative learning and project work. In other words, you learn by collaborating together in fun and interesting projects that are adapted to each participant. Topics include environment, conservation, science, art, business, design, music, technology… there is something for everyone!

Absolutely everything is done in La Espuela and surroundings, without the need to travel.

      • In the event that the regulations require it, bubble groups will be formed and there will be no contact between each bubble.

      • There will be regular general handwashing and teachers will have hydroalcoholic gels for frequent use.
      • All participants must bring masks to camp. For ages between 4 and 6 years, its use will only be recommended. In any case, its use will be dictated by current regulations.
      • If we are forced to cancel one or more weeks of the camp before they have started, we will refund your amount.
