Our online courses combine the human and personalized touch of Humanit.as and the flexibility and comfort of distance courses.
Each subscription consists of videoconference sessions in small groups with our excellent team of teachers (native or bilingual) and access to a digital platform with class notes and endless interactive exercises and other resources. In addition, our teaching team will closely monitor your progress.
You currently have four courses for adults (or older teenagers).

- B2 Preparation – To reach a B2 level and get a degree (if you wish).

English Breakfasts - Varied morning classes (NO PLACES AVAILABLE)
Hours: 9:00-10:00 from Monday to Thursday.
English Breakfasts started almost 10 years ago at our school in Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid. Since then it has been one of our most popular bands. Now you can enjoy this guided language immersion experience from anywhere.
Every morning from Monday to Thursday between 08:30 and 10:30, attendees of English Breakfasts come in at their convenience to take part in a wide variety of activities; conversation, exercises, games, projects… designed to help expand vocabulary, knowledge of grammar, comprehension and fluency but without seeming like the typical class of a lifetime.
English Breakfasts is not strictly divided into levels like traditional courses, but we recommend a minimum level of A2/B1 to avoid getting frustrated at first. We use Cooperative Learning techniques to make differences in level a great advantage for everyone.

Beginners - Start your English learning right (CURRENTLY COMPLETE)
Schedule 19:30-20:30 from Monday to Thursday.
At this time it is complete. If you are interested, we will put you on a waiting list until we have enough students to create a new group.
In a traditional English school, you start by learning the verb “to be”, loose vocabulary, the theory of the Present Simple, etc. Humanit.as is not a traditional school.
Instead of theory, our classes focus on the use of the language and the natural acquisition of comprehension and fluency. Our students speak from day one and we create a variety of contexts to facilitate understanding while assimilating the language naturally and effectively. This does not mean that grammar is not learned, but that it is learned in a human and logical way instead of as if it were formulas.

B2 Preparation - For adults and teenagers Reach B2 level and get an official qualification
Teen schedule: 19:30-20:30 from Monday to Thursday.
Adult hours: 20:30-21-30 from Monday to Thursday.
We have been preparing our students for many years for exams such as Cambridge First Certificate (FCE), IELTS, TOEIC, etc. We also got a lot of approvals.
Our courses to prepare for B2 level exams are based on the fact that students really have this level. It is useless to have a title if you are not able to use the language in your day to day life. The process we follow begins with correcting common student mistakes and increasingly focuses on practicing exercises for exams. The digital platform has many interactive exercises and a system for submitting Writing for correction.

Methodology
What most distinguishes us from traditional language academies is our flexible and natural methodology.
We use a subtle mix of linguistic immersion, cooperative learning, group dynamics, drilling, role plays and other techniques to create an experience adapted to each person.
Each student is different and we dynamically adapt our content to make it as relevant as possible. It is important to note that we do not offer courses with closed content. Below you have a video that explains in more detail the bases of how we work.
English Online for Children
One of the great specialties of Humanit.as is making children and adolescents forget the idea that English is just a subject, and see it as a communication tool and something positive for their lives.
In essence, we “disguise” exercises and activities designed to help them improve specific points of grammar, vocabulary, etc. as if they were simply games and collaborative projects.
In addition, we offer flexible hours, personal monitoring and very competitive prices.
We currently have two levels for children and two for teenagers to prepare official exams in a communicative and playful way:
- Next Generation Level 1 – 6 to 9 years old (classes by videoconference in the time slot 17:30-18:30 from Monday to Thursday)
- Next Generation Level 2 – 9-12 years old (classes by videoconference in the time slot 18:30-19:30 from Monday to Thursday)
- B2 Preparation – To reach the B2 level and obtain an official degree such as FCE (First) from Cambridge or IELTS, for example. (classes by videoconference in the time slot 19:30-20:30 from Monday to Thursday)
- C1+ Preparation – To reach the C1 level and get an official qualification such as CAE (Advanced) from Cambridge or IELTS, for example. (classes by videoconference in the time slot 20:30-21:30 from Monday to Thursday)
The indicated ages are indicative. The level of English, and the character, of the children varies a lot. So, we assign children to groups only after a level test by videoconference.

Videoconference classes
Videoconference classes are held in small groups. The maximum size of 8, but less is usual. If there are too many people at the same time, we extend the schedule or open groups in parallel.
It is not mandatory to enter all sessions. Most people log in two or three days a week, whenever it’s convenient for them. You can enter at any time within the time slots indicated below.

How do I register?

- Confirm your email address.
- Log in to your account at www.humanit.as/online/member-account
- You will be shown the subscription options.
- Make the payment through Stripe or Paypal, highly secure payment gateways.
- You will now have access to the course you have chosen.
How do I enter the classes?
- The first time you enter your account after making the payment, you will find links to access the Virtual Classrooms of the groups you have chosen. You’ll need to confirm that you want to join the class the first time.
- The successive times, this link will take you directly to the Virtual Classroom.
- Once inside the Classroom, you will see a link to access the classes by videoconference at the established time and you will also be able to see shared notes, assigned tasks, materials and exercises from past classes and you will even be able to ask questions or share interesting things with your classmates .
- After signing up for the virtual classroom, you can also access it with the Google Classroom app, available for iOS and Android.
How do I cancel my subscription?
- Our courses do not have permanence beyond the chosen subscription period.
- You can cancel at any time from this page: www.humanit.as/online/member-account .
- Please remember that you must cancel before the next renewal date. In other words, it is not possible to cancel and refund money from an active subscription, but the renewal of said subscription is cancelled.
